Remove screws holding the base plate.

With base plate removed, remove the two screws holding the bottoms of the left- and right-side end caps.

Remove the other screws holding the end caps. There will be two more screws at the front and two more at the back for each end cap.

Find the belt tensioner on the left-hand side of the cutter. We will only be moving the middle nut on the tensioning screw. It’s a good idea to draw a mark behind the back nut to record where the belt is currently tensioned.

With the belt loose, the ends of the belt can now be unhooked from the back of the carriage and pulled out past the pullies on either side. It may help to then attach an eyelet of the new belt to eyelet on old belt using a twist tie. This will allow pulling the new belt through the slot along the back side of the carriage rail.
Feed the new belt through the pullies and attach the eyelets to the back side of the carriage. Then move the middle nut on the belt tensioner back to its original position.

Reattach both of the end caps and then the base plate and now you are done!
