Most likely this issue is due to the COM port not being correct in the program. You will have to go to your device manager first. To access the Device Manager, use any of the following methods: Start > Run > and type: devmgmt.msc Start > Control Panel > Device Manager or System Start > and do a Search for Device Manager or dev Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System > Device Manager Hold the Windows key + Pause Break > Device Manager Right-click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager Once you are in the device manager then click on PORTS then take this information , for example, COM3 back to the cutting program and enter that in for example the cutter would be Goldcut using PORT: COM 3.
